eat your feelings, it helps…seriously

Normally people try to avoid “eating their feelings.” In many cases people eat when they’re feeling intensely emotional in any sense. But have you ever thought of eating particular foods to chemically reduce stress rather than emotionally? Lucky for us there is a way!

Avocados, leafy vegetables, complex carbs, oranges, hot tea and fish can all help reduce stress! Each food balances certain chemicals in your body. Avocados can lower blood pressure, complex carbs release serotonin, oranges can stabilize cortisol levels and blood pressure, and the fatty acids in fish can help prevent spikes in stress hormones.
